Tools
Clinical Utilities & Calculators
Practical tools with transparent formulas, built for adults in the United States.
A. Cardiovascular Risk Information Tool
A risk-factor checklist aligned with common U.S. prevention topics. It does not calculate a numerical risk score; validated equations such as the AHA PREVENT or ACC/AHA Pooled Cohort tools require clinical lab values and are used in defined care settings.
B. BMI / BMR Metric Calculator
BMI = weight (kg) / height (m)², a screening measurement. BMR is an estimate of calories burned at rest, calculated with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation (10×kg + 6.25×cm − 5×age + 5 for males or − 161 for females). Adults 18 and older only.
C. Symptom Information Checker
Select a topic for plain-language context and sensible next steps.
Screening, Risk Estimates, and Diagnosis
Screening
Looks for possible problems in people without symptoms.
Risk estimate
Describes likelihood across groups, not certainty for one person.
Diagnosis
A clinician's conclusion from history, exam, and testing.
